Roy Tasker presented a keynote and workshop on the VisChem Project at the National University of Singapore. He demonstrated a number of his animations, but more importantly, how to embed them in a research-informed learning design to avoid cognitive overload. The focus of the conference was to exchange ideas on teaching and learning between chemistry educators at secondary and tertiary levels in Singapore. The standard of teaching in Singapore is very high, and their high school student performance on international tests like PISA is very high.
